Yelland + Papps 'Vin de Soif'2022
The Wine
The wine exhibits pronounced floral aromas, with a prominent earthy rose petal character at the forefront. It has a medium-bodied palate, offering a pleasant mouthfeel with seamlessly blended oak and tannins. It's light and lively, brimming with a youthful vigor that's enviable. Employing whole-bunch fermentation, it results in a thirst-quenching, unexpectedly refreshing red. Notes of plums and cranberries mingle with amaro and an exotic mix of spices. There's a hint of meatiness, but above all, it's sheer deliciousness. The wine achieves a perfect harmony of sweet fruitiness and a gentle mineral edge, resulting in a superbly crafted wine.

About the Wine Maker
Yelland and Papps specialize in small-batch, unique, elegant, and distinctive wines, crafted with passion by a hands-on family winery. Unlike many, Susan and Michael are not traditionally linked to the Barossa Valley; their connection is rooted in a profound love for wine, the region, its vineyards, history, and personalities.
While Shiraz often dominates the Barossa scene, Yelland and Papps have gained equal renown for their whole bunch Grenache and unfiltered Roussanne, alongside their Old Vine Greenock Shiraz.
