About the Wine Maker
For over a century, spanning five generations, the Bujanda family has been crafting some of Rioja's finest wines. The venture began with Joaquín Martínez Bujanda and his initial 10 hectares of vines in Rioja Alavesa. Since then, the family's holdings have grown to encompass vineyards throughout the region. Recognized by Wine and Spirits magazine as one of Rioja's top five wine cellars, their Conde de Valdemar wine range features the vibrant Viura white and an array of exquisitely crafted Tempranillo wines, from the Crianza to the Reserva, culminating in the premium Gran Reserva—a harmonious blend of Tempranillo, Mazuelo, and Graciano from the family's vineyards in Oyón, Logroño, and Ausejo.
