The Wine

 From the ‘Super Second’ Chateau Cos d’Estournel, the G is crafted with the same dedication and expertise as the Grand Vin and is the perfect introduction to the world of Cos! 

Sourced from its own lieu-dit located north of Saint Estephe, where the climate is cooler and windier than most of Bordeaux, giving the wine a beautiful freshness and balanced acidity. Composed of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, all of which is handpicked. It spends less than a year in barrel, preserving the beautiful ripe fruit of the vintage. The 2019 Vintage is a terrific year for Bordeaux and here has produced a mouthful of a wine that's so seductive! 

92 points Antonio Galloni, Vinous “…intensely savory, aromatic Médoc. Tobacco, spice, cedar, mint, dark cherry, licorice and incense all grace this mid-weight wine. Silky tannins round things out in style. The 2019 is a charmer. Drink 2024 - 2034.
