The Wine

An excellent Premier Cru from the left bank of the Serein with very subtle aromas of white flowers in its youth. Its outstanding cellaring potential will be revealed after a few years when it expresses its incredible power and very mineral finish.

90-93 Pts, Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Oct 2024 'Excellent. A slightly riper, and denser, nose is composed by aromas of citrus confit, iodine, acacia and poached pear. The bigger, richer and more voluminous medium-bodied flavors possess a succulent, even seductive, texture while exhibiting solid power on the complex, sneaky long and beautifully well-balanced finale. Drink: 2028+'

About the Wine Maker

The Dampt family of winegrowers dates back 150 years. The Daniel Dampt’s estate currently counts 30 hectares of vines in production, including 16 hectares of Chablis and 14 hectares of Chablis Ier Cru. All Daniel Dampt's wines are produced and bottled by the Domaine. His sons, Vincent and Sebastien now manage the Domaine and continue to make very pure, intense wine, with the crisply dry, long finish of signature Chablis.
