The Wine

60% Dolcetto, 40% Nebbiolo

L'Informale is a wine that represents the new generation of Piedmontese wines: fresh, accessible and perfect for daily consumption. The name "L'Informale" suggests a relaxed and informal approach to wine, inviting you to enjoy a glass in good company without complications. Bright ruby red with fresh, fruity aromas of cherry, raspberry and strawberry, with subtle floral and spicy notes. Fresh and lively on the palate, with good acidity that balances out the ripe red fruit flavors. Soft tannins and a pleasantly fruity finish.

About the Wine Maker

When Nadia Curto encouraged her father, Marco, to label their wine with the family name, he was hesitant. Despite his pride in their produce, he understood that Barolo is notoriously challenging to master. The wine is unpredictable and temperamental; its essential Nebbiolo grapes are delicate and high in tannins, requiring years to mature. As Marco aged, he saw this shift as a monumental task. Nevertheless, Nadia was determined. She toiled under the Piedmontese sun, engaging in conversations with her father, gradually gaining his trust. Her opportunity came when her uncle, famed Barolo winemaker Elio Altare, offered her a position. Seizing it, Nadia gained invaluable insights. Eventually, Marco came to share her dream. Now, they collaborate closely, with Marco managing the vineyards and Nadia directing the winemaking process.
