Clos Sainte Magdeleine Cassis Rosé 2021
The Wine
40% Grenache, 40% Cinsault, 20% Mourvèdre
"...quintessential Provençal refresher—an uplifting nectar of bright citrus, fresh berry fruit, wild herbs, and salty sea air—that is a far cry from the countless technological, mass-marketed examples in production throughout the region....bears a distinct sense of place, and it's someplace we all want to be: under the sun, by the sea, glass in hand, a bowl of briny olives within reach. Monsieur, a refill, s'il vous plaît! Anthony Lynch
Clos Sainte Magdeleine completed conversion to organic viticulture in 2012, a philosophic progression after years of sustainable farming.
An essential wine in any Provencal devote's armory!

About the Wine Maker
This domaine and its vineyards are perched up on France's highest sea cliff, Cap Canaille, jutting out above the charming fishing port of Cassis, in the heart of the Parc National des Calanques in Provence. This estate has been owned by the same family for four generations and is now considered as one of the best estates in the area. The wines are all produced from certified organic grapes grown on the estate. Cassis only has 14 producers, and this is undoubtedly the most famous, thanks to American importer and wine writer Kermit Lynch’s effusive support. Most of their wine is drunk in the local seafood restaurants, where they go exceptionally well with the local cuisine.
