Indigo Secret Village (Beechworth) Chardonnay 2023
The Wine
The 2023 vintage has given us excellent white wines. The bouquet is complex with grapefruit/citrus fruit aromas, pear and stone-fruit, and well as struck match from the winemaking and vanilla from the gentle oak handling. The use of French oak is very subtle, but barrel fermentation has given the wine complexity and spice.
The palate is wonderfully balanced: a seamless combination of elegant Beechworth Chardonnay fruit with plenty of depth, the complexity of barrel fermentation and the classic mineral crisp finish typical of Beechworth’s granite soils. Indigo Wines

96 Pts Jenni Port, Halliday Wine Companion 'Comes into the world fully formed and showing impeccable balance and integration, with the kind of budding complexity that brings a smile to this wine drinker's lips. The ageing-potential factor is high with this one. Layer upon layer of fresh-picked stone fruits, citrus, apple, almond meal, spice and almond amaretti are joined by mouth-watering, cleansing acidity. Flavours persist through to a long finish.'
