The Wine

Inopia Blanc is an exceptional wine from the winery’s own vineyards in Orange. This blend features mostly Grenache Blanc with Roussanne, Marsanne, Bourboulenc, and Clairette. The grapes are hard-pressed in a mechanical press to enhance oxygen exposure early on, then naturally fermented in cement eggs and 500-liter barrels with no added sulfur or yeast. Aged on full lees for a minimum of 16 months, this wine develops a rich and complex profile.

The vineyard, located in Orange, one of the five villages producing Châteauneuf du Pape, sits on clay soil with deep river stones (“Grès”). This unique terroir, discovered and planted in 2011, is managed with high-density planting and minimal intervention, ensuring low yields and high quality.

All vineyard work is done by hand, respecting nature and tradition. The grapes are pressed in an old Vaslin press and aged to perfection, resulting in a wine that captures the essence of its terroir.

Experience the unique character and quality of Inopia Blanc, a testament to tradition and meticulous winemaking.

About the Wine Maker

Clos Saouma is a small project by Rotem and Mounir Saouma, who you may recognize from the renowned micro-negociant Lucien Le Moine in Beaune. The duo have been highly sought-after producers of Premier and Grand Cru Burgundy for several years. Driven by their passion to own their vineyards, they decided to purchase exceptional terroir in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and start Clos Saouma.
