Bouchard Monthelie 1er Cru Les Duresses 2022
The Wine
Located between Volnay and Meursault, the village of Monthélie is much less known than its illustrious neighbours. However, on this terroir, the first traces of vines go back to the 9th century. As for the "Les Duresses" climate, it is divided between the villages of Auxey-Duresses, of which it is the jewel, and the village of Monthélie, where it is one of the most remarkable Premiers Crus. The 1.72 hectares of the Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils, often harvested a little later than the other Monthélie, give birth to rich and pleasantly structured wines.
