The Wine

The Grand Terroirs is a blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot, incorporating 40% reserve wines. The fruit originates from vineyards near the village of Vertus, where the Chardonnay plots yield wine that is fine and minerally while the Pinot Noir component, richer, and fleshier. The slopes face south southeast, providing optimal maturing conditions. The average age of the vines is 40 years and the spends 2.5 years on lees
Again, tremendous value here!!

Past reviews:

95 Pts Huon Hooke, The Real Review 'Light straw-yellow hue, with a most appetising aroma of citrus fruits and small flowers, obviously very chardonnay-driven and could easily be taken for a blanc de blancs. Very fine, crisp and lively on the tongue, with a refreshing dry balance. Outstanding freshness. Excellent wine. (80:20 chardonnay:pinot noir. Minimum 2 years on lees in bottle. Disgorged December 2019.

94 Pts Halliday Wine Companion 'A blend of 80% chardonnay and 20% pinot noir. 40% reserve wines from 2010-2012 matured in French foudres and in bottle (on lees) for at least two and a half years, this disgorged October 2018. It is fine and intense, and has tremendous drive and length to its citrus and apple flavours. Exceptional value.
