Jules 'Mediterranee' Rose 2023
The Wine
Embodying the essence of Provence, this wine is perfect for any occasion and serves as an excellent introduction to French rosé. Crafted to exceed expectations, this marks the tenth year of it’s presence in the Australian market.
The palate is greeted with flavors of strawberries and cream, a hint of sea spray, and aromatic Provençal herbs. It has shed the Redskin candy-like/oily texture found in some past vintages, instead presenting a pronounced salinity. Notes of citron, wild berries, and a subtle bitterness of aromatic herbs are discernible. Retaining enough of the familiar house style to satisfy long-term enthusiasts, the 2023 vintage is notably perfumed and fruit-driven. What more could you want in life!
90 points, Gary Walsh, Winefront “'traight-down-the-line good drinking rosé here. It offers crisp red fruit, a lick of herb, goes a little bit creamy, but has bright acidity to balance, some tangerine and citrus bite, a bit of flint to texture, and a crisp finish of good length. Smashable. Nice.'
