The Wine
This premium Bordeaux blend, made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from Pessac-Léognan in Graves, is exquisitely balanced and robust, with fine-grained, velvety tannins. It offers a classic bouquet of tobacco, cassis, dark cherry, leather, and tar, enhanced by distinctive mineral and mushroom notes. The wine matures in French oak barrels for 12 months, with 30% new oak used in the process.

91-93 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown - Wine Advocate "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Ferran opens with expressive notes of black cherries, mulberries, warm cassis and redcurrant jelly plus wafts of tapenade, truffles and lavender. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, fine-grained texture and loads of freshness supporting the bright fruit finish.

About the Wine Maker 
Château Ferran, located in the Pessac-Léognan region of Graves, south of Bordeaux, boasts a prestigious history of ownership. Past proprietors include Robert de Ferran, a solicitor at the Bordeaux Parliament who lent his name to the estate, and the renowned French philosopher Montesquieu, who owned the vineyards in the 18th century. Since 1880, the property has been in the hands of a venerable Bordelais family. Presently, the descendants of Joseph Beraud-Sudreau, Philippe and Ghislaine Lacoste, have been overseeing the estate since 1999.
